Most of the people we've talked to about cloth diapering don't really have any idea about it, and a lot of you have asked questions, or at least want to know how we're doing with it. I figured the easiest thing was to add a little blog to explain some things and show some of the cloth diapering options we've experimented with and use. See the oldest posts for more explanations about types of diapers and getting started!

Why Cloth?
We can't figure out how we decided to try cloth, but I'd heard about here and there on online message boards that I was part of with both pregnancies, so I knew it was still an option. I think we saw an ad for gDiapers (which are a little different, and rather cool-looking). Between that and reading an article about how it takes one cup of crude oil to make a disposable diaper, and how they sit in our landfills for up to like 500 years, we decided to give it a try. That may not be gospel truth, but it worked for us! I would say up until that point, probably 1/4 of our bulk trash was diapers. Also, we had just spent another $60 trying to keep two kids in diapers (with no end in sight), so that was another incentive...
